This paper uses ESDA-GIS and spatial computing model to analyze the evolution and factors of coordinated development of urbanization, resource and environment among China's 26 provincial capitals and four municipalities in 2005, 2010 and 2015 with the results showing an uneven coupling coordination. Their coupling development displays a V-shape, falling and then rising, and has a spatial concentration. The spatial computing model reveals that GDP per capita and industrial GDP proportion contribute largely to their coordinated development, but percentage of environmental investment to GDP and college student headcount per 10 thousand do little. 
